Sample Submission

WARNING: We DO NOT ACCEPT samples with enriched 14C (often used as a tracer).  Any contamination of any amount of enriched 14C ("hot") material may cause thousands of dollars in clean-up and other costs. If you submit "hot" samples to this lab, you may be liable.

Sample Submission Form

  • SHIP SAMPLES AFTER having informed us of your intentions and e-mailing us your submission files.
  • Read the "Service Terms and Conditions" tab in the file. You must answer the question on the second tab about the T & C.
  • Do not tamper in any way with the formatting of the Excel file; this includes column and tab headings, etc.
  • Reminder: only 1 media code per submission file!
  • Sample ID cells turn red if identical ID's are included. Please correct before submitting. Add "dup" to the ID of any duplicates of a sample that you wish to have analysed.
  • The number of samples in the "Sample ID" column should reflect the number of samples to be analysed (do not include extra vials in this list).
  • Please keep sample IDs relatively short if at all possible. The maximum allowable is 20 characters, but shorter is better, especially for label print-outs.
  • In addition to completing the submitter information section, please always include a minimum of a name, address and email in the "Billing Information" section at the top of the form. Also include a PO or contract number if relevant.
  • Always email your submission form well BEFORE sending your samples (or walking them over). This ensures that we have time to prepare the paperwork to properly identify your samples.
  • The submission file should be emailed to GGHatch@uottawa.ca .
