Until further notice, the turn around times for receiving data will be longer than expected. A world-wide shortage of helium, exacerbated by the war in Ukraine, has forced us to drastically reduce our use of helium. We will only be running one main high-flow machine at a time. We apologize for the delays, even though things are out of our control.
The internationally known G.G. Hatch Stable Isotope Laboratory has now been renamed to honour our founder and longtime supporter as the Ján Veizer Stable Isotope Laboratory. The lab operates on a cost-recovery basis, serving the H, C, N, O and S stable isotope analysis needs of the University of Ottawa community as a whole, as well as those of other University, Government and Private Agencies around the world. Since 2014, we are fully installed in the new Advanced Research Complex (ARC), a brand new custom space. Please take note of our new address: 25 Templeton Street, Room 426. Contact us to arrange a visit and/or a tour of our new facility.
We would like to thank the University of Ottawa, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), the uOttawa Faculty of Science, the uOttawa Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences, and Carleton University for their support.
